Project Title:

Silt Trap Maintenance Elmsdale Huntley River

Project Summary:

The project was conducted as planned.

CBWA employees installed a mobile cofferdam in order to by-pass the excavation site thus allowing the work to be completed in the "dry". The work entailed removing in excess of the equivalent of ten truckloads of silt from the stream bed. All precautions were utilized in order to minimize any silt from entering the stream.

The silt removed from the trap was placed in a containment area on-site. Once the work was completed, the area was mulched with straw and re-seeded.
